Ennistymon & District Credit Union’s mission is to make a positive difference in our members' lives.
Over our 50 years in existence we have learned that people want and need a financial institution that they can trust and with values that they can associate with and are proud of.

Ennistymon & District Credit Union Ltd. (“EDCU”) was founded in 1974 and has 7,800 members and assets of €37 million. The credit union is governed by a board of 9 local volunteers and is operated across three locations in Ennistymon, Milltown Malbay and Lisdoonvarna with a staff of 12 assisting members with their financial needs.
Our core mission is to make a positive difference in our members’ lives. Over our 50 years in existence we have learned that people want and need a financial institution that they can trust and with values that they can associate with and are proud of. I can confidently state that EDCU has the trust of its members and uphold the core values they demand. This credit union has always been on the side of its members in their time of need, providing them with the highest level of service, conducted in a professional and courteous manner.

Common Bond
The Common Bond consists of a radius of 12 kilometres around the registered office of the credit union which is located at Church St., Ennistymon, Co. Clare. People who live or work in the common bond (and family members) are eligible to be members of the credit union.
