The Role
Due to continued growth and development, Ennistymon& District Credit Union is currently inviting applications for the position of Member Services Officer. We are seeking experienced candidates who are passionate about member service and are keen to build a career in a financial services environment.
This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with a background or qualification in business or financial services who are looking to utilise and further develop their skills within a community-focused organisation.
Role Summary
The Member Services Officer will play a key role in delivering a best-in-class member experience in both frontline and back-office environments. Responsibilities include processing financial transactions (e.g. lodgements, withdrawals, loan payments), handling queries, supporting members, and promoting the credit union’s wide range of financial services and products.
Requirements
- A member-focused approach with a strong track record of excellent customer service.
- Ideally, 3 years’ experience in a financial, regulated, or customer-facing role.
- A professional qualification such as QFA, CUA, or APA is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and good keyboard/data entry skills.
- Strong verbal, written, and numerical skills.
- A proactive problem-solver with attention to detail and the ability to work on own initiative.
- Adaptable and flexible in approach, with strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Experience in mortgage lending is desirable.
